Important work, investments and innovation took place throughout 2023 to ensure Johnson County Government provided support to our community’s older adults, people with an intellectual or developmental disability and those needing support with behavioral health or substance abuse treatment.

It is always an honor to receive an award or recognition, or to be asked to share our best practices with others.

In all corners of the county you will find construction, planning, remodeling and design happening on facilities and amenities for our community.

In 2023 we made major progress in our efforts to support people who experience homelessness or housing insecurity.

For its 2023-2024 priorities, the Board of County Commissioners chose to focus on building a healthy and safe community for all, doing so through the lens of sustainability and diversity, equity and inclusion.

As we came out of the pandemic, like many organizations, Johnson County Government was experiencing significant pressures on our workforce.

At Johnson County Government, one of our values is Continuous Improvement. Our team is highly encouraged to always look for ways to better serve our public, more efficiently do our work and become even stronger stewards of taxpayer dollars.

The Board of County Commissioners, leadership and staff endlessly strive to be good stewards of taxpayer funds as well as funding received from state and federal allocations.

By lighting the way, we bring along others with us and make their journeys easier. We are so pleased to shine the spotlight on what we accomplished…side-by-side with this community…in 2023.
