COVID-19 Vaccine
COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective against the coronavirus and they’re available throughout Johnson County. The Johnson County Department of Health and Environment strongly recommends all residents ages 6 months and older get the vaccine. Vaccines are available for those who qualify for the Vaccines for Children program and those with health insurance.
Rabies Exposures and Animal Bites
The Johnson County Department of Health and Environment (JCDHE) works in conjunction with local animal control officers (ACOs) and community service officers (CSOs) in Johnson County to limit the potential for human rabies exposures. Information for veterinarians about how to report animal bites is included.

Fees for Immunizations
Clients may pay the Johnson County Department of Health and Environment for vaccines out-of-pocket or bill to insurance.

Targeted Case Management
Offered by Johnson County Department of Health and Environment, this program provides free case management for pregnant and parenting adolescents under the age of 21.
Prenatal Care
Prenatal services for Johnson County residents include routine prenatal care in collaboration with University of Kansas OB/GYN physicians; assessment and counseling with social workers and dietitians; adoption services referral and in-home, office, or community site visits with pregnant women for physical assessments, blood pressure monitoring and education/counseling.
