Targeted Case Management
Offered by Johnson County Department of Health and Environment, this program provides free case management for pregnant and parenting adolescents under the age of 21.
Prenatal Care
Prenatal services for Johnson County residents include routine prenatal care in collaboration with University of Kansas OB/GYN physicians; assessment and counseling with social workers and dietitians; adoption services referral and in-home, office, or community site visits with pregnant women for physical assessments, blood pressure monitoring and education/counseling.
Postpartum Care
Registered Nurses are available for in-home, office or community site visits with new mothers and infants who live in Johnson County, Kansas.
Maternal Child Health Outreach Services
Maternal Child Health Outreach Services offers a supportive nurse home visiting program for expectant mothers and families with infants who live in Johnson County, Kansas. A registered nurse visits residents during pregnancy, after the baby is born and throughout the child's infancy. The nurse provides support, encouragement and guidance to mothers and families.
Family Planning
Family planning services are available on a walk-in basis to assist individuals or couples with the timing and spacing of pregnancies; provide counseling and contraceptive services; assist with infertility and identify other medical problems, and improve knowledge about reproduction and the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases.
Tuberculosis Testing
There are two tests that can be used to help detect TB infection: a skin test or a blood test. TB Testing is available on a walk-in basis at our Olathe clinic.
STI Testing & Treatment
Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) testing and treatment is done on a walk-in basis. Services provided by Advanced Practice Registered Nurses/Registered Nurses include: Vaginitis testing and treatment; Sexually Transmitted Infection testing and treatment (gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, HCV and syphilis); HIV counseling, testing, and referral.
Pregnancy Testing
Pregnancy testing is available during walk-in clinic hours.
Physical Exams
Adults needing a physical exam for employment, child care, foster and adoptive parents can get one at the Johnson County Department of Health and Environment.
Blood Pressure Clinics
Blood pressure clinics are provided by JCDHE's Registered Nurses at various locations throughout Johnson County, Kansas.
