Juvenile Detention Center

The Juvenile Detention Center is a secure youth detention center used by the Johnson County District Court to hold juveniles who are awaiting detention hearings, state custody placement, placement into a Kansas State Juvenile Correctional Facility, or release back to legal guardians.

Adult Intensive Supervision Probation

The Adult Intensive Supervision Program (ISP) provides community-based supervision of adult felony and some misdemeanor offenders from several referral sources.

Adult House Arrest

The House Arrest Department is located within the Adult Residential Center and operates 24 hours a day. House Arrest Officers are available from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. 

Get Involved with Corrections

Interns and volunteers serve in numerous capacities throughout the department, specifically at the Adult Residential Center in New Century and the Juvenile Detention Center in Olathe, as well as out in the community.

Child in Need of Care (CINC)

Juvenile Intake and Assessment provides evaluations for children in need of care (CINC) who are taken into custody by law enforcement agencies.

Advisory Boards

The Department of Corrections has two advisory boards: Community Corrections and Juvenile Corrections.
