The Work Release program began in October 2007 at the Adult Residential Center. Clients in this program are serving their sentences but can keep their jobs or find a job in the community. They must also pay taxes, program fees, and any court-ordered costs. JCDOC operates work-release programs for people with cases in District Court and Municipal Court, as well as those serving time in the Kansas Department of Corrections.
