The Kansas Silver Haired Legislature identifies the priority concerns of Kansans aged 60 and older and proposes resolutions to the Kansas Legislature as recommendations for state policy.

The term of office for a Silver Haired Legislator is two years. The 2025 SHL election occurred on March 28. The following delegates were elected to represent Johnson County:

• Katherine (Katy) Hoffman
• Mary Penrose
• Gary Scott
• Marvin Singleton
• Norman Kahn
