Senior Health Insurance Counseling for Kansas, or SHICK, is a volunteer program offering free and confidential one-on-one Medicare counseling. It’s an invaluable service to the Johnson County community that’s in high demand.

Aging and Human Services is looking for compassionate individuals who want to volunteer in a unique way. If you’re a problem-solver at heart, looking for an impactful and challenging opportunity, this is for you.

Volunteer opportunities include direct counseling, community outreach or administrative support in our office.

Our counselors come from a variety of backgrounds. They cannot be currently affiliated with the insurance industry which protects clients from becoming a referral source and ensures our service remains unbiased.
