Ready, Set, Play! JCDHE offers convenient, low-cost sports physicals for student athletes

Affordable, walk-in sports physicals for middle and high school students participating in fall sports and Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) activities are available for a limited time from the Johnson County Department of Health and Environment.

This new service at the Olathe walk-in clinic, 11875 S. Sunset Drive, is available through Oct. 1 for $50. No appointment is necessary. The sports physicals meet KSHSAA requirements and include a full exam by a nurse practitioner.

The clinic ensures fast, friendly service for busy families juggling practices, work and back-to-school prep. “Our goal is to help families keep their student athletes safe, healthy, and in the game — without the stress or high costs,” says Charlie Hunt, department director.
