To obtain service, go online to get a virtual spot in line or to set an appointment.

The virtual waitlist opens each weekday at 6 a.m., and spots fill quickly. Visiting dmv.jocogov.org soon after the virtual waitlist opens is your best option for obtaining a spot in line. Those who walk into a Motor Vehicles office are not guaranteed a spot once the waitlist reaches capacity, so the office strongly recommends joining the online waitlist before arriving.

Plan ahead – don’t wait until the last minute.

The best way to ensure you get the services you need before your due date is to give yourself plenty of time to set an appointment or to join the virtual waitlist. Also, be sure to check online to ensure you have the documents you need after you set a time to come to the office.

If you can’t obtain service on the first try, here are some steps to follow.
