This survey will be conducted online by accessing a QR code or jocogov.org/besttimessurvey. The survey ends on Jan. 31, 2026.

Survey participants can enter a drawing for $25 Johnson County Park and Recreation gift card! Two winners will be selected through a random drawing. Participation in the drawing is voluntarily.

Your input on a dozen questions

By answering the 12 questions in the online survey, you’re helping us learn what you would like to see in future issues of The Best Times. Johnson County’s senior population is growing by leaps and bounds, and we want to produce a magazine that reflects your interests.

The 2026 readership survey provides an opportunity to consider possible updates to The Best Times. What are we doing right? What should we eliminate, provide or improve?

Digital Best Times option

We have offered a digital option to view The Best Times since 2021. By providing an email address, readers receive a link to directly access The Best Times on their smart phones, iPads, laptops or home computers. The link connects readers to both the latest edition and past issues of the magazine.

The digital Best Times is provided to its subscribers approximately a week before the printed magazine reaches the mailboxes by the U.S. Postal Service.

Signing up for the digital option is as easy as clicking on jocogov.org/TheBestTimes, completing a short form asking for your name, mailing address and email. Once that information is received and placed into the magazine’s database, readers who choose the digital option will no longer receive the print edition by mail.

Unless a digital form is submitted, readers will continue to receive their magazine in the mail.

Best Times Bonus newsletter

Residents are also invited to sign up for the new bimonthly Best Times Bonus e-newsletter. It provides extra content, tips, updates and events during the months when The Best Times magazine does not land in your mailboxes or email inboxes.

Those months include January, March, May, July, September and November.

Signing up for the e-newsletter is easy at jocogov.org/newsletters-and-alerts. It only requires completing a form asking your name and email. The bimonthly Bonus will be delivered straight to your email inbox.

If you choose to receive the bimonthly magazine in digital form, and add the bimonthly e-newsletter, electronic information from The Best Times is provided every month!

Note: The Best Times shares no names, emails or mailing addresses with other entities.

Your input and suggestions in the 2026 survey are valued in helping us continue The Best Times’ mission of “informing and supporting Johnson County’s 60+ adults,” as noted on every magazine cover page. That mission remains unchanged as the magazine begins its 44th year.
