The Johnson County Park & Recreation District comprises more than 10,000 acres and attracts more than 7.5 million visits annually.

JCPRD's Administrative Services Management, Program Reservation and Shelter Reservation offices are located in the Administration Building at the entrance to Shawnee Mission Park, at 79th Street and Renner Road.
