Want to volunteer? A 50 Plus Community Connection event can help residents to discover ways to get involved in the Johnson County community.

The free event will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Oct. 28 at the Roeland Park Community Center, 4850 Rosewood Dr., to connect participants with local organizations, such as Three Oaks Hospice, The Rabbit Hole, Overland Park Arboretum, Johnson County Area on Aging and the Johnson County Park and Recreation District, to explore meaningful volunteer opportunities.

Attendees can meet guest speakers, ask questions and discover ways to volunteer in Johnson County. Light refreshments will be served.
