Johnson County Government is now taking applications for the 2025 session of JoCo Academy.

JoCo Academy, open to Johnson County residents and employees, is an opportunity to learn about your local government with other civic-minded individuals.

The 2025 JoCo Academy will be held on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-9 p.m., with dinner included, starting Aug. 26. The session will last 10 weeks, which includes graduation on Oct. 28.

Participants will meet with county staff and elected officials, explore the county budget, learn about civic engagement, volunteer opportunities and tour various county facilities.

The deadline to register is Aug. 15. Applicants for this session will be selected and contacted via email by Aug. 19. Learn more and apply for the 2025 session.
