BOCC adopts a new map of commissioner districts
Based on population shifts and continued growth in Johnson County, the Board of County Commissioners in July voted on new district borders that took effect immediately. The borders define the six voting districts, and from each district one county commissioner is elected. With the Chairman, who is elected by all voters in the county, the six commissioners comprise the Board.

In real life falls aren’t funny. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, falls are serious and costly for older adults. Falls are the leading cause of injury for adults 65 years and older. More than 14 million, or 1 in 4, older adults report falling every year.
