As the aging population continues to grow, so does the number of older adults struggling with their mental health. According to the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, 1 in 4 older adults has a mental health disorder, and the American Hospital Association says the number of older adults with a mental health disorder is expected to double over the next five years.
Johnson County Housing Services provides home rehab and repairs
The first step for either the Minor Home Rehabilitation or HOME Rehabilitation programs at Johnson County Housing Services is completing and submitting an application with necessary documentation.
HOME Rehab invests more in repairs
They were helped in the HOME Rehabilitation program of Johnson County Housing Services. The federally funded program directly assists income-eligible homeowners with rehabilitation needs of their owner-occupied homes.

All benefited from projects by the Minor Home Rehabilitation program at Johnson County Housing Services. The free program provides repairs which, if left unattended, would have a direct effect on the health, safety or accessibility of income eligible homeowners.
