Funding to address housing crisis

Museum to close exhibits, open new one
Johnson County Museum’s popular “Free to Be...A 1960s Fashion Revolution” special exhibit will be coming to an end on Jan. 11. Also, on display at the museum through Jan. 4 is a separate special exhibit called “Home for the Holidays at the All-Electric House.”

Over the summer, Johnson County Mental Health Center started PASTA — Parenting a Second Time Around — a support group for grandparents, relatives or caregivers re-entering a parenting role.
Upcoming assessment focuses on needs of aging population
The Older Americans Act, Section 306(a) states that, “each area agency on aging designated under section 305(a)(2)(A) shall, in order to be approved by the State agency, prepare and develop an area plan for a planning and service area for a two-, three-, or four-year period determined by the State agency, with such annual adjustments as may be necessary.”
Puzzle Palooza planned Feb. 28
Johnson County Park and Recreation District’s 50 Plus Program is hosting the popular Puzzle Palooza at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at the Tomahawk Ridge Community Center, Overland Park.
MED-ACT plans CPR training for seniors
Senior CPR classes offered by Johnson County MED-ACT are scheduled on Saturday, Jan. 18, and Monday, Feb. 10, in room 1075 at the Sunset Drive Office Building, 11811 Sunset Drive, Olathe.
