Juneteenth has been an annual celebration across the country, and it became a national holiday in 2021. Last October, the Board of County Commissioners also made it a county holiday, approving it unanimously.

TIP kicks off 2022 season

The 2022 season of The Theatre in the Park kicks off in spring with the indoor production of The Sparkletones from March 18 to April 3 in the Blackbox Theatre in the Johnson County Arts and Heritage Center, 8788 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park.
