Commercial Building Permit
A building permit must be obtained from the Development Services Building Safety Division for nearly all types of “commercial” new building construction, additions, remodeling or repair work prior to the start of construction.
Accessory and Agriculture Building Permit
Apply for an Accessory and Agriculture Building Permit. An Accessory and Agriculture Building is a building or structure subordinate to and detached from but located on the same lot as the principal building or structure, the use of which is incidental and accessory to that of the principal building or structure, as defined in the Johnson County Zoning Regulations.
Blasting Permit (Unincorporated Area)
Apply for a blasting permit. Johnson County is currently enforcing the blasting regulations adopted by the State of Kansas, K.A.R., 22-4-1 / N.F.P.A. 495, 2018 International Fire Code, and the Johnson County Code of Regulations for Buildings and Construction, 2018 edition.
