Autumn fun includes bingo

50 Plus launches new fitness programs

Each class is designed to meet you where you are, building strength, supporting your goals and promoting lasting wellness.

Cars in the Park event set Oct. 18

An unforgettable day of horsepower and hotrods will go on display at the free Cars in the Park event from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Theatre in the Park facility, 7710 Renner Road, Shawnee.

Pollinator Prairie welcomes monarchs

Monarch butterfly season is here. In celebration of the annual journey south, Johnson County Extension Master Naturalists and Monarch Watch are hosting “Hasta Luego Monarchs” from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Pollinator Prairie, 320 South Blake St., Olathe.

Museum exhibit showcases weddings

The Johnson County Museum’s newest exhibition, “The White Wedding: A New Postwar Tradition,” offers a glimpse into the rise of the “white wedding” tradition post-World War II, an era when love, prosperity and consumer culture came together to create a new vision of the American wedding.

Geocaching fun scheduled July 11

A geocaching event features family fun as a team in finding hidden geocaches at Meadowbrook Park, 9101 Nall Ave., Prairie Village, with prizes at the end.
