Park adds new inclusive playground
An April 15 ribbon cutting has been set for the new inclusive playground and related Phase 2 developments in the northeast corner of Meadowbrook Park, located near Roe Avenue and Meadowbrook Parkway.
Special exhibit ends March 18
A traveling exhibit exploring the history of federal, of f-reservation American Indian boarding schools, which operated between the 18 80s and the 1980s, is the latest temporary exhibit now being presented through Match 18 by the Johnson County Museum.
Trucks and Big Rigs set April 1
Trucks and Big Rigs for Kids will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 1 at the Theatre in the Park parking low, 7710 Renner Road, in Shawnee Mission Park.
Programs to focus on Alzheimer's
Johnson County Park and Recreation District's 50 Plus Department will host two Alzheimer’s and dementia programs on Wednesday, March 8, and Wednesday, April 5, at Meadowbrook Park Clubhouse, 9101 Nall Ave., Prairie Village.
TimberRidge plans open house
A free open house at the TimberRidge Adventure Center, 12300 Homestead Lane, will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 29.
Mildale Farm plans event on April 1
The 2023 Mildale Farm Spring Community Day will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 1, at 35250 W. 199th St., Edgerton. It is a free event.
