For more than 40 years, the 50 Plus Department of the Johnson County Park and Recreation District has been helping residents experience the world through thoughtfully planned group travel.

Just in time for the 250th anniversary of the United States, the Johnson County Museum’s next special exhibit will be “Everyday Democracy: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness in Johnson County.”

Antioch Park, 6501 Antioch Road, Merriam, recently became the first park in the Johnson County Park and Recreation District, and only the fourth in Kansas, to be accredited as an arboretum through ArbNet’s Arboretum Accreditation Program.
