Prevention Services staff work to promote mental health and prevent suicide and substance abuse in Johnson County through training and educational presentations.

Students in eighth through twelfth grade from across Johnson County. The Teen Task Force works as a team to prevent underage drinking, tobacco and other drug use and promote mental health.

Johnson County Mental Health addresses the whole person during the course of treatment through the use of evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing and positive behavioral supports.

SFP consists of parenting skills, children's life skills, and family skills training courses taught together in fourteen sessions.

To improve mental/ emotional functioning through the prescription and administration of psychotropic medication.  We also provide supervision of, and consultation in, the non-medication treatment services delivered by other JCMHC programs.
