2025 Live Well Age Well taking place Aug. 28 at Arts & Heritage Center
Johnson County offers resources and information to help older adults “live well” and “age well” at its annual Live Well, Age Well expo. The 2025 expo will take place Thursday, Aug. 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center, 8788 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park.
The event is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Additional parking will be available at New Theatre & Restaurant, 9229 Foster St., Overland Park, with complimentary shuttle service.
Live Well Age Well will feature informational booths from a variety of local businesses and Johnson County Government agencies. The focus is keeping aging adults healthy, independent and well connected in Johnson County. The vendor and screener area will be open until 2:30 p.m.
Activities will also include educational sessions, program demonstrations, workshops and bingo. Additionally, snack bags will be available while supplies last. There will be three feature presentations at this year's event: "Resilience, Technology, and the Battle Against Loneliness," "Discover Arthritis: Take Control" and "Keep Your Brain Fit: Neurobic Exercises."
Attendees will receive complimentary entry to the Johnson County Museum on Aug. 28. The museum is located in the Arts & Heritage Center.
